SNF VBP “Report Card” released, SNFs receive universal incentive payment multiplier.
FY 2023 SNF VBP program August 2022 Performance Score Reports (PSRs) are available now in the QIES/CASPER system.
The August 2022 PSR includes:
- Risk-Standardized Readmission Rate for Baseline Period
- Risk-Standardized Readmission Rate for Performance Period
Because the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 PHE inhibited CMS’s ability to make fair national comparisons, CMS suppressed the use of SNF readmission measure data as finalized in the FY 2023 SNF PPS final rule. Under the suppression policy, CMS assigned to each SNF:
- Performance score of 0.00000
- Incentive payment multiplier of 0.9920000000 for 10/1/22- 9/30/23
- No achievement score
- No improvement score
- No rank
SNF finance departments need this information in order to update their software to calculate correct rates beginning 10/1/2022.
SNFs may submit correction requests up to 30 days following this report being made available.
